Pay once. Keep fidgeting.
The short version: BusyWork is a $5.99 one-time purchase for macOS. There's no required account, no subscription, and nothing to cancel. Use it however you like. It comes with no warranty, and it's a desk toy — don't rely on it for anything that matters.
Purchase and delivery
Stripe processes your payment. After a completed payment is verified, the website provides the Mac download. Keep your Stripe receipt; if delivery fails or you need help with a purchase or refund, contact support@blacktop.social. Nothing here limits rights that apply to you by law. Copies obtained before this price was introduced keep working under the terms supplied with them.
The licence
Blacktop Social LLC grants you a personal, non-exclusive licence to install and use BusyWork on any Mac you use, at work or at home, for as long as you like. You may not sell it, repackage it, or distribute a modified copy under the BusyWork name.
No warranty
BusyWork is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Blacktop Social LLC is not liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the software or its use.
Meeting detection is a best guess
The app decides whether you're in a meeting or sharing your screen by looking at running process names and window titles. That's a heuristic, not a guarantee: a conferencing app can change how it behaves, and a fidget may occasionally appear when you'd rather it didn't. ⌘⇧D hides everything instantly, and there's a manual toggle in the menu bar. If you're presenting something sensitive, hide it yourself rather than trusting the detection.
Your responsibility at work
Some workplaces restrict what software you can install. Checking that is on you, not on us.
Changes
New versions ship from this website. If these terms change, the updated version appears here with a new date; the copy of the app you already have keeps working under the terms you got it under.
